“Your enthusiastic presentation and energy helped create an invincible aura, and your involvement with everyone during the entire trip certainly allowed everyone to get to know you both as you were part of the PNC team! I really appreciate the time and effort you spent in preparation, and the personal touch you gave everyone that attended.”
Dear Mr. Papale,
I want to thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to visit our school. Your personal appearance added a lot of much deserved excitement to our reward assembly. The book you donated to our library are already a hot commodity.
It’s always nice to know people are committed to helping our schools. You made a difference to the entire VMS family.
It is because of people like you that our schools are successful. As Principal of VMS, I am extremely proud to work with such wonderful people in our community. You help put the pride in “Viking Pride.”

Vince and Janet,
Thank you so much for your donation. It was a big hit!!!!!!!!! We raised over $10,000 today. All of which will go directly to help 5 children with pediatric brain cancer and their families. My cousin and her husband were so grateful for your generous support.
I had not heard of you before watching the Invincible movie last night, and was inspired and moved by what I saw. Your story in making and playing in the NFL is truly remarkable. As you may or may not be aware, rugby union is the ‘dominant religion’ of this small country, and the New Zealand All Blacks finally recaptured the Rugby World Cup again last year here at home. As a life-time fan of our version of your game, I simply wanted to let you know that you have a new fan at the bottom of the South Pacific. In reflecting on the movie I especially liked what I saw in the way you played footy with your mates in the rain the week of a big game. Mate, you’ve got a big heart that’s for sure.
All the best to you and your family Vince. Kind regards, kia ora.

What new coach Dick Vermeil saw impressed him. Papale had speed and sure hands, but most of all, he exemplified what Vermeil calls “Eagle Effort…”. Whenever his name would come up at cut meetings, Vermeil would say no. “He’s a character player,” the coach said. “We need more like him, not less!”

In the past year, Papale has made more public appearances than the 76’ers Julius Irving, the Phillies’ Mike Schmidt, and the Flyers’ Bobby Clarke, combined. “Vince makes Bob Hope look like a recluse,” says Eagles General Manager Jim Murray.
